Who can register online?

Register online if you are a permanent or temporary NHS staff member, bank or agency worker, student, trainee or volunteer on placement at a BASE Library organisation and you have an email address ending nhs.uk, nhs.net, ac.uk or gov.
Go into your Base Library if you are a bank or agency worker or a volunteer and do not have an email addresses ending nhs.uk, nhs.net, ac.uk, gov or gov.uk to register in person using a paper registration form. See Membership.
If you are a student or staff of any other NHS organisation, a GP or a member of the public not employed or registered at a BASE Library organisation, you can join Base Library as an external member costing a one-off fee of £50 by speaking to a Base Library member of staff.

 

Changes to the BASE Library Service

As a response to Covid-19, some BASE libraries have now closed their counter services (all library closures will be posted on the Locations page). All library teams are still providing an enquiry service and can be contacted by email and phone if their counter is not open. Reservations are not available, however you may browse the catalogue and access e-resources. Items on loan have been automatically renewed and will not incur a fine. Most libraries are not providing new member registrations. More information on current service can be found here.
